Bioluminescent Jellyfish

We are learning all about jellyfish this week! We first started by reading about them and making a bubble chart.

Then we learned about what bioluminescence is and made our very own glow in the dark jellyfish, thanks Ms. Angie for the idea and help!

Aquarium

The aquarium is so much fun! The kids were so excited to see the sea creatures that we've been learning about in real life!

More Ocean Work

We are having so much fun with our ocean unit! Here are some activities that we've been doing, as we learn about each new ocean animal, we add new graphic organizers to our oceanographer journals.  The class is so good at making bubble maps and can/have/are charts.

Writing our own ocean books, I love how one student made their own graphic organizers!

Making class books based on Pout-Pout Fish.

Learning about sharks and making a shark craft.

Learning all about seahorses, which are such an interesting animal! When two seahorses look for a mate, then hook their tails and spin around in circles until they change the same color.  I can't believe that's real life! :)

A few pages from our oceanographer journals!
