Here are are some of our stations this week!
Roll and color, students roll a dice and then look at the key to figure out what color corresponds to each number. If the number 3 is blue, they color the 3 section of their picture blue. It helps with number recognition and color words.
Handwriting will always be a station, students use a chalkboard to practice their numbers and then write them in their book.
More stamping words this week.
Kinetic sand is our building station this week.
Our listening station is from the book Even Monsters Need Haircuts. The kids listen to the book and then practiced matching beginning sound pictures from the book.
This was our first reader's theater week! I have predictable sentence scripts for the kids to read with a partner. It uses our heart words and helps the kids practice using their fingers to point to each word as they go.
We wrote our heart words with play dough
The sticker station was new this week. The kids put a sticker on their page and then had to label the sticker with all the sounds that they could hear in that word. They are getting so good at sounding out and writing words!
